Via San Gregorio Armeno, Naples
(4.6/5 based on 4,600+ reviews on the web)
Explore one of the finest examples of Baroque architecture in Naples at Via San Gregorio Armeno. Built in the 10th century atop the remains of a Roman temple, the church and monastery complex features a single nave with five adjoining side arcades. It is well-known for its collection of fine art and 16th-century decor. Walk through the center nave with its high ceilings and ornate gold detailing. Visit the Idria Chapel to admire the 18-piece series of paintings depicting the life of Mary by Paolo de Matteis. If the weather is nice, you can rest outside in the main cloister. • The way of the shepherds, known throughout the world. At Christmas time it's so crowded with tourists and Neapolitans who establish 2 running directions controlled by fire fighters. The road is narrow but especially children watch in awe the crib and figurine. People from all over the world comes through here just x x see but often buy a special memory of the Nativity scene tradition in Naples and one also give a look to the Church of Santa Patrizia, one of the tutors of the city and the Church of San Lorenzo al culmide the street. Only do attention to "dip"!!!

  • Hectic and full as you imagine! Any object for the crib, crib environments also majestic and even a Nativity scene set up to 30 square meters within a lane. Is one of the truest parts of Naples.

  • When they starting to sell cribs, especially when you are there after dark, you'll feel like small child
