  • Lovely and unexpected for me, the Church: I didn't know her. Don't miss the vision, at the end of a corridor that winds on the right, behind the apse of the Church, the sacristy of the Vasari ". Magnificent in their realism even the terracotta figures of the "Lamentation over the dead Christ" of 1492 by Guido Mazzoni

  • From the outside you would not imagine that this church inside contains works so precious. It is a testimony of the Tuscan Renaissance in Naples. This church was founded in 1411 and was among the favourites of the aragonese Court. In the Interior there are three Renaissance chapels Tuscan shapes due to the close ties of the aragonese Court with that of the Medici, the presence of artists from Tuscany and the purchase of works of art in Florence. The Piccolomini Chapel, on the left of the Atrium, is a replica of that of the Cardinal of Portugal in the Florentine Church of San Miniato al Monte. Very nice Newfoundland Chapel to the right of the lobby and Chapel. Do not miss a visit to the old sacristy with frescoed ceilings by Giorgio Vasari and walls beautiful wooden inlays of FRA Giovanni da Verona.

  • Is it not better known churches of Naples, but is certainly of those not to be missed. The sacristy with frescoes by Vasari alone is worth a visit to Naples. Amazing the lamentation of the dead Christ. A true masterpiece. The visit to the sacristy of the Vasari is free of charge (3 euros apiece to a group of 4 people). Don't make the mistake of skipping.

  • A helpful staff has pointed out significant historical and art pieces.
  • The Church has undergone several surgeries, the exterior is of piperno and has a clear Renaissance inspiration inspired structures of Alberti, the Pronaos and the façade was remade after damage suffered in World War II. In the church there are several chapels to follow on a suggested route, but there are two artistic wonders, they are the chapel with frescoes by Vasari, and lamentation of Mazzoni, operates in Crete. in it you find the Kings of Aragon, Lucrezia d'alagno and the humanist Pontano. The Lucrezia d'alagno is represented in Magdalene with her hair down.

  • Worth the visit just to the chapel Vasari that frankly I didn't know existed. I think many Neapolitans don't know this wonderful reality. The person who accompanied me to visit it is kind of you.
