  • It was quite a few years that I missed as a kid I used to go there directly on my bike. Today I went with family, for ball games, riding the bike and made a nice picnic al fresco under the trees. This great green lung of the city, has three entrances; inside there is one of the most important museums of Naples. From the central entrance to the right, past the Museum, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the Bay of Naples and the famous Church of Capodimonte. To improve: bathrooms all closed and no possibility to rent bicycles.

  • Used from as early as 1735 for hunting by Charles III of Bourbon, his great passion, the creation of the Park of Capodimonte started in 1742, under the guidance of the architect Ferdinando Sanfelice. It covers an area of one hundred twenty acres. In the park there are more than four hundred varieties of trees such as Oaks, holm oaks, ELMS, limes and chestnuts. Inside the Park you found several buildings used over time for various reasons, including the Casino dei Principi and the Porcelain Factory. It's lovely for a walk, for a jog or a picnic.

  • In this last period I was able to appreciate the positive changes and even attempts, managed in full, to relaunch the site and also all initiatives from her musical/cultural event proposals until that truly original on ' adoption ' tree/bench. Now in this big picture, haven't had still ' satisfaction ' the ' sports ' frequent the Park. Since this beautiful green space within the city is unmatched in both size and historical legacy, why not set up in the Park, near the doors, where you can rent bicycles and be able to appreciate every single corner of this area? Naples is a cluster of hills, devoid of paths, making it difficult even for the Neapolitan reach with your bicycle from this park. For tourists I think is an added plus. Also a modica could guarantee even a take from the site to devolve further improvements.

Where to stay in Naples

Naples' lodging options include everything from turn-of-the-century historical mansions to hip boutique hotels. For a five-star experience in the heart of town, book a centrally located luxury hotel. Less expensive but just as comfortable, traditional inns just outside the central area offer peaceful comfort, private parking, and private outdoor space ideal for quiet dinners and small parties. If you are looking for a less urban experience and prefer to stay in a leafy neighborhood, consider the city's residential suburbs.
