One of the largest squares in Naples, this spot is ideal for people-watching, taking in the grand architecture, and enjoying views of the harbor and mountains. • It is not the plaza with more charm of the city but the most extraordinary. Its dimensions and the buildings that flank it, sea and mountain views make this place one of the must haves for seeing the city.

  • The piazza is probably one of the grander things to see in Naples, with lots of room for photos with the imposing colonnades behind. To the side has a terraced road with views of Vesuvius which look quite good at sunset. It's also metres from the main shopping street in Naples, with well known brands and chains, as well as places for refreshments.
  • An inspiring site to visit. The piazza is very large and you can imagine the grandeur of the events held here in the time of the royal family. There are still events today that use the Piazza and the lighting/staging makes it just as dramatic.
  • Reminds me of St Peters cathedral. A very big square so it's hard to spot the shops. Looks more like a fire drill assembly point for the town, rather than a lively piazza
  • Gorgeous architecture and design. Worth the visit to see inside the open dome.
  • Great event every year in october in piazza del plebiscito a classical concert with 21 pianos
