  • The Plaza, located on the decumano Maggiore of Naples, and right at the confluence of three major streets of the old town, via Port'Alba (honorary citizen of city gate), via san Sebastiano (the way of the music as full of shops selling musical instruments) and via Santa Maria di Costantinopoli (which leads to the National Archaeological Museum). The rectangular square is one of the major intellectual meeting places of the city because of the proximity of universities, the Academy of fine arts and the Conservatory of San Pietro a Majella, and for the countless literary cafes that characterize the area, but it is also a green lung with its succession of trees and benches that give almost resembles a small park sandwiched between monumental buildings of the 16th and 17th centuries as evidence of Renaissance art and Neapolitan Baroque, such as the Palazzo Castriota Scanderbeg or Firrao. On the South side overlooks the complex of Sant'Antonio delle Monache in port'alba, while on the other side there is the palazzo De Rossi di Castelpetroso (also called palazzo Mage). On the West side and finally we have what was once the palazzo dei Principi di Conca, built in the late 15th century. Appears in the middle of the square the statue of Vincenzo Bellini, overlooking his high pedestal, with small niches, empty today, that once housed the statues of the main heroines of his works. But, above all, in this square in the West end, we find some interesting remains of the ancient walls of the Greek Neapolis, dating from the 4th century BC, who formed a defensive circuit critical to Naples. The structure, characterized by a double curtain, was born from the strengthening of more ancient walls of the very first Neapolis and were protected by natural valleys which surrounded the town and were real defensive ditches. These fortifications were created, to Neapolis, the fame of the city impregnable.

  • Funky little Piazza in the arts district of Napoli. This say fav part for sure! A great area with really chill vibes. Check out Caffè Letterario!
  • One of my favourite places in Napoli! If you like to smoke that place is for you:)
  • Nice piazza a gathering place for the youth with some bars and restaurants
  • Esteticamente bellissima, un po' sovraffollata e pericolosa nei weekend
  • Bit messy, but lively Piazza with a good atmosphere. Especially in the evenings when mostly young crowd gathers in front of the bars.
