Palazzo Reale, Naples

2.6
Palazzo Reale was one of the residences used by the Bourbon kings during their rule of the kingdom of Two Sicilies (1730–1860). Explore its opulently decorated rooms to imagine the Bourbons' lifestyle. On the western facade, look for statues depicting the city's prominent rulers since the foundation of the kingdom of Naples in the 12th century. Pick up an audio guide (included in the price of admission) for more information about the palace and insights into Italy's days of city states, realms, and dynastic rule. Planning Naples trip won't be overwheling when you use's Insprock itinerary maker.

  • Yet another ' wonder '. The entrance is Grand but restrained, even the rooms that can be visited are tiny caskets. Details are on the path to be followed whereby sometimes you get lost. It would be interesting if it were unfurled some history, in the sense that they were the halls but the remaining Palace nothing says it is quite complicated to imagine the life of the Court.

  • Lose the beautiful Royal Palace of Naples is a sacrilege. The sumptuousness of the halls that housed the nobility of the time is imprinted in the tissues, in surrender and ceilings and is at its maximum in the famous double staircase. By far my favorite, beautiful as the square Pleibiscito.

  • Entry 4 euros for this wonderful Palace, filled with history. The audio guide is free and is pretty comprehensive, and never boring. Beautiful rooms with beautiful furnishings, tapestries, paintings and frescoes will leave you breathless. All though a bit neglected and dusty. Undervalued, in my opinion. You could make it more "alive" with more furniture, guided tours, portraits of the characters who inhabited, etc. would have paid to the triple if I had found more history and care!

  • Although the apartment is beautiful the price asked is very high compared to the service provided. No breakfast, no linens. In addition to using the elevator we need 20cent. NB the apartment is located on the third floor! Wouldn't recommend it and I will not return

Where to stay in Naples

Naples' lodging options include everything from turn-of-the-century historical mansions to hip boutique hotels. For a five-star experience in the heart of town, book a centrally located luxury hotel. Less expensive but just as comfortable, traditional inns just outside the central area offer peaceful comfort, private parking, and private outdoor space ideal for quiet dinners and small parties. If you are looking for a less urban experience and prefer to stay in a leafy neighborhood, consider the city's residential suburbs.
