  • Almost impossible to look out from palazzo donna Anna and enter to watch the building from via Posillipo are two complementary activities that carry not only emotions and healthy sight but makes for a moment go back years to the legends of lovers wanted and rejected by Neapolitan and noblewomen at dozens of architectural styles that have occurred even without completing the work. Beautiful

  • Commissioned by Donna Anna Carafa, who commissioned architect Cosimo Fanzago, who in 1642 the Neapolitan Baroque style, drew on the existing Villa Bonifacio, Palazzo donn'anna (also known as "palazzo delle sirene") was not completed for the death of Donna Anna, for whom the building is unfinished with his spectacular charm of ancient ruin among the remains of Roman villas and crevices of caves that are typical of the Posillipo coast. Also famous for the many legends that folklore awarded him. So here, it seems that Joan II of Anjou was meeting her lovers and then launch them from the cliffs, as well as Matilde Serao, tells of a ghost of the young and beautiful Mercedes de las Torres in a theatrical scene kissed the noble Gaetano di Casapenna, lover of the vicereine Anna Carafa. The young, grandson of noblewoman, disappeared mysteriously. The building had several owners: turning it first into a Crystal and then in a hotel. In later years there have been other owners, as the Bank of Italy in 1901, and then again in the middle of a project that aimed to turn it into a hotel. The Palace, one of the most beautiful and evocative of Naples, is not open to visitors and is not state, as a part used as a private dwelling (divided into several apartment buildings), and part abandoned as "ancient ruin" that Raffaele La Capria called it "impressive shooting and almost a ruin, but beautiful mole, in front of the sea". The Interior is of considerable interest, only accessible place, is the theatre, with a large window overlooking the sea and where you can enjoy the magnificent view of the Gulf, expertly recovered, from local abandoned, by the architect. Ezio De Felice museografo, Professor of architectural history at the Federico II, author of numerous and fine restorations, who made a large and original Theatre, where he also has his own studio, with the collection of many strange objects and original of which had become collector. Said Theatre, currently has become the headquarters of the cultural foundation dedicated to Ezio De Felice, Foundation that makes it possible to admire them, at events such as conferences and cultural meetings.

  • Look out from a terrace of Posillipo and admire the imposing mole of an old building near the sea, is a unique and unrepeatable experience. The poetics of the decline of the ancient world's most beautiful that flows into the Gulf, here has its very essence. Don't miss this piece of soul.

Where to stay in Naples

Naples' lodging options include everything from turn-of-the-century historical mansions to hip boutique hotels. For a five-star experience in the heart of town, book a centrally located luxury hotel. Less expensive but just as comfortable, traditional inns just outside the central area offer peaceful comfort, private parking, and private outdoor space ideal for quiet dinners and small parties. If you are looking for a less urban experience and prefer to stay in a leafy neighborhood, consider the city's residential suburbs.
