  • I attended a wedding reception at the teatro San Carlo in Naples, superb frame of immense charm and uniqueness, a real privilege. Here I wish to express my regret for the catering, edited by Scaturchio, started in the beautiful coffee local Opera Scaturchio (appetizers) and continued at the dinner table, in the spectacular foyer of San Carlo. Given the name Scaturchio, beloved by anyone who has lived in Naples or he frequented assiduously (basically, after the end of Catfish, the only big name of the great Neapolitan tradition of catering) we were all one big happy expectation, unfortunately progressively disappointed. The first disappointment, during aperitifs: ever seen in Naples and surroundings that fried you serve cold. But the worst came to the table, from the Octopus appetizer which tasted only a refrigerator, to over 40 minutes and numerous reminders to get the parts of the sandwich (old), per second (Yellowtail and monkfish), watery and far from fragrant (that I had to leave after a few mouthfuls), waiting for about an hour (!) between courses. In short, a real disappointment for those of that name had always had a high concept. Some of the guests I explained that the old management was replaced, the outcome of corporate events difficult. Too bad. I wonder if the current management has never had occasion to enjoy the outstanding facilities of the historical Scaturchio, became famous because of the exceptional flavor and quality of her creations. I confirm and repeat that this review refers only to the catering service, not the Café Opera Scaturchio, where I've been lately for coffee, and that is very beautiful and special.

  • 4 euros for a ministerial, which in the historical site costs 1 euro. Theater or not, it's a steal. Off-market prices

  • We went to see Naples and when visiting the San Carlo took 2 coffee and a croissant in this Bakery: well the bartender before we roll the saucers in front of almost annoyed, then to our request for some water before coffee, he spilled a bottle we had seen fill from tap water – naturally left in the glass! Still, considering the prices and location, you may wish to better treatment!
