  • This beautiful Obelisk is located in the piazza del Gesù, in the Baroque style of 1700 and inspired the Egyptians. A statue of the Madonna completes the obelisk, celebrated December 8 feast of the Immaculate Conception.

  • It is located between the Church of Gesù Nuovo and Santa Chiara church square. Striking spire in the Middle, but I don't know which is owned. The obelisk and say I don't know, but something different. The Tower just religious connotations, and it seems. Is that the Spire to Catholic doctrine. Where the people of profound religious Naples would not know their religion, but meaningful, the Spire could say.

  • To preside over Piazza del Gesù Nuovo the magnificent Spire of the Immaculate, inspired by the model of the ancient Egyptian obelisks

  • It is said that you would feel being watched under the statue, particularly when you stand behind the statue. I didn't feel so though.
  • This stone obelisk serves as a fantastic centrepiece to the area opposite Gesú Nuovo.
  • Unfortunately it doesn't shine as it should shine. But it is an obelisk beautiful and full of history.

  • Nice square in the center of Naples characterised by the Obelisk of the Immaculate and the particular rustication of the façade of the Church of Gesù Nuovo

  • But a restoration given to individuals not huh?
