Discover the hidden wonders of Gesu Nuovo Church, a 16th-century church. Its somewhat plain exterior belies the interior's grand architecture and art collection. Look for Francesco Solimena's masterpiece painting, "The Expulsion of Heliodorus from the Temple." For some local history, visit the small chapel dedicated to St. Joseph Moscati (1880–1927), a biochemistry teacher at the University of Naples and head physician of the Hospital of the Incurables. You can admire his statue and study the depiction of his medical activities on a triptych sculptured urn. • The Neapolitan Baroque splendor. Exceptional high altar and side, marbles and noble stones. The Church houses the tomb of one of the most popular saints of Naples: Saint José Moscati, the Holy doctor.

  • The facade of the Church shows no signs of beauty that exist internally. The Church only opens after 4:00 pm. We arrived early, we would like to make a great ice cream and a cappuccino in the Piazza next to, and worth the wait. A sensational beauty!

  • One of the most beautiful church of the city. Rich of details but not tiring. Located in one of the most populated areas of Napoli. The outside reproduces (somehow) an hidden stave !

  • An of the most beautiful churches of Naples. Their pink marble stand out in all its structure. Also the Greens worked in spiral-shaped pillars. The fresh attention, mainly on that is on the front door.
