Where to stay in Naples

Naples' lodging options include everything from turn-of-the-century historical mansions to hip boutique hotels. For a five-star experience in the heart of town, book a centrally located luxury hotel. Less expensive but just as comfortable, traditional inns just outside the central area offer peaceful comfort, private parking, and private outdoor space ideal for quiet dinners and small parties. If you are looking for a less urban experience and prefer to stay in a leafy neighborhood, consider the city's residential suburbs.

  • Il bosco degli Astroni, situated in a volcanic zone, hence the name of the crater, it is one of the few green lungs with a variety of plants and trees that just seems to be in a forest. It was formerly a hunting lodge of the Bourbons, rich of wildlife from birds to wild boars. About 50 years ago it was possible to enter with machines that had a clearly defined path. You could find families who brought their children to breath oxygenated air, leaving them free to play. Then there were couples in some crevices of the wood, they were looking for a bit of privacy. I returned on the occasion of the exhibition of dinosaurs, along a well established, where there was a chance to view them in full size. For each subject there was a sign explaining their origin. One in particular struck my mind: the dinosaur lived about 22 million years ago. Then I wondered who we are, where we came from. The concept of time is its but think of a time distant from our idea of the world, I was of the chills. It was an exciting and informative experience why approximately 3 Km long I observed many plants, flowers and aquatic animals in a pond: frogs, ducks and flowers that were born in the water. The only drawback of the site is that there are no seats along the way or dining options. The Organizer mentioned this lack and they replied that, since very little to manage the site, they could do better. But in their programs is already expected innovations to improve the approach of visitors to the site. It was a great adventure, in contact with nature and the chance to discover a lush green. • Place inaccessible by car. Waiting for the shuttle (surcharge) 80 minutes each way. Return shuttle waiting ... ... undefined. After more than two hours we desist and do walk almost four kilometers! With two children! In addition to what is stated in the other reviews ... I think it's appropriate that remains an oasis for the exclusive use of animals ... the folks? Little more than statues together with topographic map. More than a walk a stress!

  • Nice place but be prepared to walk about 3/4 km on a dirt path without refreshment. Lacking only in the way a small kiosk that sells water. Dinosaurs are nice but the big score he does wild nature.
