  • Monumental Church offering a superposition of various architectural styles and ornamental and honestly we were impressed by this little gem advertised compared to other more famous churches

  • Great build, but almost hidden in the city. From the outside ci.si not expecting to find much gold, many decorations and works of art. We walked from the square, and then we had to go up one floor, from under the altar in order to arrive at the Basilica. Quite unusual entry, but you can enter another door in front of the altar. The altar, chapels, gilded coffered ceiling, everything is a continuous discovery for the eyes. Worth going there and linger for awhile

  • Naples èricchissima in history and art and you know .... She had many conquerors and for being the capital of the Kingdom of the two Sicilies had honors and burdens among all the honor of having many beautiful churches designed and decorated by the most great masters of that time. The Church of St Philip, contrary to what you might think from the square, nn has there its main entrance, though, if you want you can be accessed via a staircase from there and from there develops the first church, the era of the Angevins, a small area with an altar, sober and essential as the time required, yet another staircase and entering the Church but you get next to the altar, beautiful decorated on the back wall from a majestic organ that his short steals the show, but then slowly the game of inlays and polychrome cherubs and make their way and gradually you come to two silvery busts places bordering the nave, the plan is a Latin cross, the gilded coffered ceiling. The styles overlap, you may notice this more striking overlap, in the courtyard of vico San Domenico, which leads to the entrance itself, the Gothic façade behind, restored recently (very reminiscent of Santa Chiara), and in front of a dome and a Renaissance Bell Tower, old & new fused so sublime. It is possible to visit the Church v for free, I recommend you continue your visit (with help) and see the entire monumental complex, recently renovated, which although fragmented as membership (a part of the Church and another to the municipality of Naples) gives a nourishment for the spirit that is unparalleled. ...

  • Worth a look, but no photos are permitted within the building. There are ruins beneath to visit as well.
  • Didn't really caught our attention. No photos are allowed and nearby are better churches to visit
  • Iglesia estupenda en el centro de Napoles
  • Place not to be missed, one of the most beautiful and impressive sculptures from around the world and of all time. And the rest is charming, funny, special. Go!
