  • The wonderful prelude of this church is the Baroque obelisk in the middle of the square, votive gift on the occasion of a virulent plague; the entrance is not that site, but is in a courtyard. Within a series of chapels, each of which contains precious paintings or sculptures, among which I could report the chapel with paintings by Carroll; at the time contained the flagellation of Christ by Caravaggio currently placed at Capodimonte. Visiting the old town and the via dei presepi, or tasting the gastronomic wonders that Naples offers galore, you can't miss a visit to this church whose only portal and the façade they say : come see me, you will fill the eyes of beauty.

  • Erected by Carlo 2° of Anjou between 200 and 300 ', is one of the most important religious-Conventual complex of Naples. Houses numerous works of art including the beautiful frescoes by Cavallini (he also hosted "the flagellation" by Caravaggio, now in Capodimonte) and some tombs of the Aragonese. In a chapel (the chapel of the crucifix) also houses the medieval image of the crucifix that spoke to St Thomas Aquinas.

  • Erected on the former Church of San Michele Arcangelo in Morfisa, and dedicated to Mary Magdalene, to vote by Charles II of Anjou, freed from prison, was built by inverting the orientation of the previous Church. So, today, those entering from Spaccanapoli is found in the sanctuary, because the fourteenth-century main portal is on the opposite side. Inside there is no longer a ' Flogging ' of Caravaggio, but among the many works remain, not lost early 14th century frescoes by Pietro Cavallini.

  • Worth a look, but no photos are permitted within the building. There are ruins beneath to visit as well.
  • Didn't really caught our attention. No photos are allowed and nearby are better churches to visit
  • Iglesia estupenda en el centro de Napoles
  • Place not to be missed, one of the most beautiful and impressive sculptures from around the world and of all time. And the rest is charming, funny, special. Go!
