  • A magnificent example of Baroque church in Central Naples, little known and out from the usual tourist routes, but sadly in need of maintenance. The vestry is indeed magnificent, but banned in some places for security reasons. Over the weekend the Church remains open with some volunteers from the TCI

  • It is one of the oldest monasteries and charming places in town, linked to the presence in Naples of Benedictine monks, but unfortunately it is in a State of high decay. Many parts of the Church in need of restoration. It is part of the churches which can be visited in the historical centre of Naples, near Spaccanapoli. The Church is kept open for visits by volunteers of the Touring Club Italian (from Thursday to Sunday from 10.00 to 13.00, however Council to check on the site of the Touring schedule changes). The Church is well worth a visit. Founded in the 10th century, has been enhanced in the following centuries from chapels frescoes Flemings on the dome, a beautiful wooden choir in walnut and precious marble floors. The real gem is the sacristy with a magnificent frescoes on the vault and a special floor, designed in such a way makes it look three dimensional. The volunteers of the Touring will illustrate the importance of this church.

  • Quite accidentally stumbled upon this church, it is not on the popular streets, and somewhere within the quarter. Gone-and not regret afterwards. High arches, beautiful murals on the ceiling and on the walls. Be sure to go to the sacristy, very beautiful! Employee came up to me and drove me and shown the Tomb, and the sacristy, all told, something told me. In gratitude upon leaving I left a good tip in the book.

  • Benedictine complex built in 902 the relics of Severino and Sossio, companion of martyrdom of Saint Januarius. Splendid and rare on the floor of the nave in polychrome marble.
