  • Such a shame that I didn't have enough time to see it inside. One of the first churches in the row of dozens of beautiful ones in Naples.  more »
  • I wandered around the streets near the famous Doumo and stumbled upon this church. 2 men were sitting as though guarding the church and unlike most churches here that close at 2 pm this one was open. ...  more »
  • This beautiful church is one of the many treasures of immense artistic heritage of the city of Naples ... only that deserves more maintenance ... we must restore the wonderful time and dome and eliminate moisture penetration that ruin the Church. • Beautiful church with a remarkable altar designed by Borromini along with many other great works of art.
  • Like all Greek Roman churches in the area is constructed or was built on a temple that insisted on the decumano superiore, if they have any news around the 5th century. For sure it is certain that three architects worked in succession between 500 and 600, being the Grimaldi, the Chan and Picchiatti, so did the Bell Tower. The Interior has a beautiful Neapolitan Baroque and it's all painted. In the transept there is the altar of the cardinal Filomarino Borromini left and on the right a Sanfelice. Giovanni Lanfranco has frescoed vaults

  • Church of ancient Foundation. At the ends of the transept there are two altars. The one on the left created from designs by Francesco Borromini and the right argument reinterpreted by Ferdinando Sanfelice.

  • Hidden Church, but a beautiful baracco napoletano. Don't be misled by the anonymous façade, because the round is magnificent and there are also paintings of a certain value.
