  • In via Chiaia, the Christmas illuminations are original, not the usual Christmas lights rhetorical always equal to themselves, year after year. Something on the facades, a walk worthy of a big city

  • It is one of the most elegant and exclusive neighborhoods of the city of Naples. In the area are part of via Chiaia, via dei Mille, via Calabritto, piazza dei Martiri and piazza San Pasquale, where you can admire the most important shops of the city and the most classic and exclusive buildings. The riviera di Chiaia, a historic waterfront of the city prior to the construction of via Caracciolo, presents important noble buildings, including villa Pignatelli, with Green Park. In front of the palaces extends parallel to the road, the Villa Comunale, built by King Ferdinand IV of Bourbon since 1780 and recently restored. At the end of the riviera, continuing along the via Piedigrotta you arrive at the square, dominated by the Church of Santa Maria di Piedigrotta and Mergellina railway station, the Park Vergiliano which houses the tombs of Virgil and leopards. Descending towards the sea, from piazza Sannazaro there are found in the Mergellina, with chalets, the Marina and the beautiful promenade. Throughout the area there are great bars, delis and restaurants including my favourite is Salvatore at riviera where you can taste delicious dishes of Campania.

  • Gorgeous Naples area with 19th century buildings, one of the most beautiful places. Elegance and tradition, difficult parking.
