  • Despite not being an expert on the subjects I found everything very interesting and fascinating (beautiful specimen of Allosaurus!), with many descriptions and explanations (unfortunately only in Italian) in all five museums. The museums of physics, anthropology, zoology and mineralogy are present in the same structure to via Mezzocannone 8; to Paleontology is located in Largo San Marcelino (5 min walking distance). To improve the guide between a Museum and other things, but to compensate for this deficiency is the kindness and willingness of employees to museums to explain the route to do. The ticket office in Mezzocannone 8 is located as you enter to the right in a hidden room and dirty for ongoing work (don't be scared). You can see them individually or paying a single ticket. The time it takes to see everything calmly and to move between museums is about 2 and a half hours. It is possible to take pictures without flash. Sin is little known by the Neapolitans. Would recommend anyone to visit him (especially schools). I will stay there again.

  • If the signs are better you might aggiarer better in the maze that is the University complex. For the rest, it would be a shame to lose it. Remarkably the Zoological Museum and to anthropology, with the remains of the victims of the eruption of Herculaneum

  • The museums of Frederick II are poorly advertised and unfortunately not currently open on Saturdays and Sundays except in special occasions (for example the pleasant view/market ' collecting nature's paleontology). They are close enough to the Metro's line 1 University Station (then proceed to via Mezzocannone, 8) and can be an idea both for tourists interested in that for the same from Campania who don't know them. I visited the museums of paleontology, mineralogy and Zoology:-paleontology-hosted in the beautiful cloister of san Marcellino and Festo, retains original Allosaurus fragilis skeleton from the United States and assembled into dynamic pose. Also the cast of Scipionyx (the baby dinosaur discovered in Campania and affectionately called ' Ciro '), designed for college even by paleontologist Mark Lord. Present yet fossils of flying reptiles, marine, Cretaceous fish in excellent condition from Pietraroja and Quaternary mammals, invertebrates Castellammare, also of previous eras to the appearance of dinosaurs and much else despite the Museum's not great. -Zoology-great Museum that between skeletons and stuffed animals is stepping into Zoological variety of our planet with the added charm of the historic environment. Among the skeletons: an elephant of the 18th century which was donated to the Kingdom of Naples, a beached whale in Taranto, Rhinoceros, whale watching. Many rare species (for example an okapi embalmed, a Spix's macaw) or extinct (sea lion, a subspecies of Kangaroo etc.). -Mineralogy-the exposure is very wide and the main room gorgeous. Huge variety of minerals by type, size and origin. Would be to modernise a bit like indications and information for visitors but already watch them is extraordinary. Sometimes the guardian show fluorescent minerals under UV show wonderful colors.
