  • The Centro direzionale di Napoli (or CDN), designed by Japanese architect Kenzo Tange and built by architects of international fame: as, among others, Renzo Piano, Massimo Pica Ciamarra, and Nicola Pagliara, is the set of modern skyscrapers that, behind the Napoli Centrale railway station, constitute an entire Citadel used mainly for Office use, including the courthouse; all in an effort to decongest downtown traffic. In fact, structure feature, almost futuristic, is that it has created, all in all, a series of broad avenues, squares of various shapes (circular, square, etc.) and sizes, exclusively pedestrian, enriched with fountains, arts facilities and especially of gardens with lots of greenery. There is also a church with futuristic shapes. Below these avenues include ample parking, escalators and a real tangle of roads with vehicular traffic arteries connecting the peripheral part of the architectural ensemble with the city centre, and is the first positive example of clear separation between underground and surface pedestrian traffic. Another feature of the business center is the Division in Islands: in fact the buildings are marked by a binary consisting of a letter and a number, sometimes separated by a slash: the letter indicates the island, the number the lot inside of that island. For some buildings, instead, we use the names. Italy Telecom Tower, with its 129 metres high, is the fourth highest habitable building of Italy. Seen from the Vomero hill the whole complex lends the city panorama a rather peculiar vision for the inevitable conflict between the antiquity of historical centre of Naples and modern skyscrapers that stand imposing, with Vesuvius in the background. This is a unique example of its kind in Italy, worth to visit

  • I state that the Museum of horrors of Naples is especially provided. Between Circumvesuviana, Villa Comunale, Piazza Garibaldi and of course management center, we just have to decide who should receive the gold medal. However the Centro Direzionale is very good, with excellent prospects because the degradation proceeds year after year, with the feeling that it is irreversible. Yet I remember the trumpets and much credit with which was inaugurated by politicians at the time. On the other hand the place where is is strategic: near to the Poggioreale prison. So we could lock yourself who designed it. Would remain (hopefully forever!) near the monster that he had built.

  • the architect who designed this monstrosity must be a sadist! seeing the wonderful scenery of Naples decided to deturparlo. a real eyesore, something awful. p.s. anathema over a certain time (in the evening) for excessive crime exists.

  • It would be better if it were guarded, especially considering the cost. However, it is one of the best car parks adjacent to the business district.
