Where to stay in Naples

Naples' lodging options include everything from turn-of-the-century historical mansions to hip boutique hotels. For a five-star experience in the heart of town, book a centrally located luxury hotel. Less expensive but just as comfortable, traditional inns just outside the central area offer peaceful comfort, private parking, and private outdoor space ideal for quiet dinners and small parties. If you are looking for a less urban experience and prefer to stay in a leafy neighborhood, consider the city's residential suburbs.

  • It isn't every day you visit an empty grave, nor would you expect to find this incredible series of graves carved outside the ancient foundations of Naples. The experience is unique, and incredible. H...  more »

  • One can visit both Catacombs (this and san genarro) with the same ticket. A very macabre and fascinating place in the heart of a historic neighbourhood of Naples. The guided tour, which is included in the ticket, was excellent.
  • Very nice catacombs. Smaller than those at San Gennaro but very interesting. They are part of the same social project as the ones of San Gennaro.
  • Must see if you're in Napoli. The tour guide is very informative and personable, giving life and understanding to what you are seeing.
  • This palochristian site, with also graves from the XVII century, is wonderful and really interesting, but smaller than San Gennaro one. A must to see
  • Worth a visit, really interesting - especially hearing about the restoration work they're doing at the moment
