  • Strikingly beautiful and full of history. The original Castle remained much of the upper floor, carved into the stone. Nicely renovated. Let them tell from keeper the ghost story;)

  • Chiaramonte Castle, or Manfredonico, if you will, is born at the behest of Manfredi III Chiaramonte in 1370. This ancient castle is the pride of the town of Mussomeli which now has 12,000 inhabitants. About two kilometres from the village stands majestic and imposing Castle, which after the last recent renovations, has regained a little of its original splendor. On the South side of the castle is what most fascinates, and at the same time it remains hooked on to admire the huge work made on the rock.
