We went to Murano by vaporetto from Venice, costing us only a few euro, which was a very cheap way to travel. No water taxi, no part of a tour, no guide. When we got to Murano we walked around for a b...  more »

A lovely introduction to the making of Murano glass. My daughter and I watched the demonstration then were taken to the upstairs show room by Ari. He was a fantastic host, no pressure to buy. Really i...  more »

In the tour at 3 Islands organized by company Raphael was scheduled a visit to this kiln with adjoining cookware for a free demonstration. No complaints about the demonstration although I felt a little rushed. Then leads straight to the furniture store. After giving a look at the exhibits we wanted to take away from us a little reminder, so we pointed to a article that we were interested in and which was around 15 euro. After taking the money gave us a card with a number for the item purchased. After a while it calls the number and see you deliver a package packed. I can't even remember if during these steps I was handed its receipt. We decide to keep the package packed and we leave the glassware. Once home we open the package with the item purchased, but to our surprise not only don't find him accompanied by no guarantees of authenticity but even from no advertising of the glassworks where we had purchased, only the object wrapped naked and raw. Rather strange considering that it should be a pride for the glassware leave within a certificate of authenticity, or at least the company name to remember, if the client wants to make other purchases or recommend others this glassworks. Overall I felt it was a rather unusual method of selling.

  • A very pleasant tour and smooth purchase; no pressure, but not much room for haggling, either. Don't know about others, but salesman had me autograph the piece I bought. It arrived as promised in a very sturdy wooden crate, with my signature on the surface where I had placed it. Please note that USA shipping destinations will be subject to import duty on purchases, billed to you by the carrier; FedEx in my case. Duty varies by product, so check before you buy and mentally add this to the price.
  • Visited this factory by arrangement with our hotel in Venice and arrived by Water Taxi. We were met at the dock by Mario who spoke excellent English. We saw the Maestro making glass chandelier and other objects. We then had a tour of showroom with some amazing products. We ended the tour in their shop where we purchased two items - there was absolutely no pressure and the staff we met were friendly and helpful. Would recommend this establishment to any visiting the island.
  • Lovely collection of glass artworks... It's amusing to see them make glass artifacts. Don't miss the demonstration.
  • Beautiful murano glass souvenirs..
  • Worth a turistic visit
