  • We took a ticket to visit the Museum and the chapel of Theodelinda. The Museum is very nice, well organized and contains works of great impact, as well as the Chapel (the latter you only visit with a guide, included in the price and it is best to book in advance). The staff is very friendly and competent. The thing that impressed me the most, at least 3 of the Museum are the Abdul Razak of the rose window. in practice are the "petals" painted glass of the rose window of the Cathedral. At first glance seemed photo projected with a projector on the wall of the Museum. Reading the better the work description I understand that these are the original rose window when Abdul Razak disassembled to beginning of 1900 replaced them with copies, because very ruined. Then have them restored and since then are exhibited in the Museum. It's a unique impression, because normally the rose you see from a few tens of meters away from the bottom, Instead here you see it from very close and you can see tons of details. For me it is worth the trip!

  • The Museum and the treasure of the cathedral were a discovery like no other. Memorabilia, relics, wreaths and crosses embedded with precious jewels, tasteful design and never redundant, sacred and profane objects, donated by archbishops, sovereigns, patrons and whatnot, as well as constitute a unique collection for the rarity and uniqueness of the pieces testify to a path of ben 1400 years of history, that would take a lifetime to be rebuilt completely. The exhibition spaces and composition are well organized and explaining without becoming pedantic and allow visitors to stand without rushing in front of the favorite works, unlike the obstacle course, which is a visit to the chapel of Queen Teodolinda. Ambitious and superb Museum collection and Treasury of Monza cathedral, perfectly successful. Not to be missed!

  • The Cathedral of Monza is less known and less impressive than that of Milan, but has a unique feature, contains a small but amazing treasure, the Iron Crown, it's her, that of Queen Teodolinda! History tells us that: "Pope Gregory I would donate one of the nails of the cross of Jesus Christ to Theodelinda, Queen of the Lombards, who made the wreath and insert the circular foil shaped nail, retorted" at the Museum and Treasury of the Cathedral of Monza is accessed by passing from the campanile ... leads to a timeless place, where they collected many objects that tell not only the story of the city but that the same Lombardy ... a unique experience try it!!
