  • Very characteristic with hay bales as seats. Have dinner with a breathtaking view. You see from Viareggio to Portovenere and if is fortunate to have a clear day see Gorgona, Capraia, Elba and Corsica. It's worth it. The menu consists of platters of cold cuts, cheeses and vegetables. Very yummy and filling. First there are testaroli with pesto or olive oil and cheese. With wine or beer spending about €15

  • One of the oldest towers in Europe, wisely restored to take advantage from the point of view of tourism spaces and historical records. Used in the summer for al fresco aperitifs, la location puts you on the Tyrrhenian Sea in a glass floor tells the different geological eras while an interactive monitor tells the info pertaining to the Castle and the village of Montignoso. Walk on walls. To visit also provided advice to check the opening hours before setting off.

  • The castle is really an awesome place, ideal for those who want to add a cultural stage attraction to his seaside holiday in Versilia or in Marina di Massa. The guided tour of the tower is well organized and takes very little time but the aperitif on the terrace you can definitely improve. Biblical expectations have ruined an evening service distracted and otherwise perfect. Recommend booking and stopping for a drink after the tour of the Tower, partly because you cannot use the restaurant without paying the ticket to the Castle (5 €). (Four stars for the location and for the Palace tour; two for the aperitif service). PS = for girls, no heels; comfortable shoes.
