  • The best things in Cinque Terre, and the only place you can get the best of each, are limoncello and Sciacchetrà. Do yourself a favorite and load up on each. If you have to, send it home in a package,...  more »
  • A nice little shop in the historic center, here you will find some small food and wine remembrance to take home. They range from regional wines, Lammy and liqueurs, pesto, olive paste, anchovies, bruschette, etc. The quality is very good, inside a little piece on the counter where you can try some products before purchase. Where to stay in Cinque Terre

It's hard to go wrong with accommodations in Cinque Terre, home to some of the most charming hotels and bed and breakfasts in the country. Choosing among them depends largely on what you want most from your trip. Consider spending a restful vacation on the hilltop to enjoy the famous ocean views, or plant yourself somewhere closer to the shoreline in Riomaggiore for easy access to beaches. If you expect to spend lots of time exploring side streets and local shops, opt for accommodations along one of the main streets in any of the villages. Though it can be difficult to find inexpensive lodgings here, there are some more affordable options in Manarola, the smallest of the five villages, and Monterosso. You can even stay at a hostel in the national park if you want to be close to nature.
