  • Go up to the Church via a staircase with balustrade. Stands out in austere façade, to overcome the great door, the bezel with terracotta relief of Michelozzo. The Interior has a single nave, elegant but appeared to me a tad bare. Opposite the Church is the Tower of the punch with a large clock and on top of a Bell that rings the hours through the movements of a statue, which would seem Pulcinella.

  • A church more beautiful than the other in Montepulciano, also of St. Augustine is very characteristic and suitable for meditation and quiet to pray or meditate.

  • More than any other monument in the magical town of Montepulciano, strongly attracts attention to this church that suddenly appears on the right, moving up from the lower part of the village towards the top along the main boulevard which widens and forms piazza Manin. The Church of Saint Augustine view down a good part of himself with the façade, built in the 15th century, while the rest of the Church dates back to the late 13th century. Michelozzo di Bartolomeo gave the best self realizing the low part of this façade that fascinates and attracts. The Interior of the Church has its essentiality that love, like many churches in this area. But at the same time has some art that leave open-mouthed, "raising of Lazarus" by Alessandro Allori, "San Bernardino" by Giovanni di Paolo and the "crucifixion lbs of Lorenzo Di Credi. But the real gem is a terracotta relief of the Madonna and saints Baptist and Augustine, located just above the beautiful entrance portal and embellishing a monument that perhaps you notice more easily if you are not too used to pass in front of, but that is really a lot.
