  • Under the buildings of five noble families who lived in this medieval village lies a small underground city. The visit to the winery Ercolani allowed us to an interesting guided tour, free admission, between oak barrels, tunnels, stone staircases and Etruscan tombs. At the end we were offered a pleasant tasting their products, wines of different vintages, bruschetta, cheese and finally cantucci and vin santo. We took the opportunity to purchase several excellence of the territory.

  • Excellent wine cellar in the basement of Montepulciano, a girl on the driveway adjacent to the entrance of the store invited us to visit the underground cellar without any commitment to purchase, or gladly accepted and admired barrels and antique tools various very nicely arranged in a beautiful underground route with surprising details. Climbed to the surface I could refuse to taste some wines that I had to buy, I hope to have made a good deal.

  • This is the first Cantina that I got PR input in Montepulciano. Above the entrance sign: Città Sotterranea. To the right from the entrance of knightly armor. Inside is always very many tourists. It is difficult to squeeze to the place of tasting. Wine tasting and visit of the cellars are free of charge. During the tasting snacks. basements are pretty large sizes and stretching for miles. You can see the cave of the Etruscans. Walk past the huge wine barrels. with bottles of wines from different years. Due to the large number of people this place seemed to me very razreklomirovannym and zaorganizovannym. Caves I liked, especially Etruscan cave.
