  • Often for non-experts like me (although now all consider themselves wine experts) is a problem entering the cellars because you always have the fear of being out of place ... But here it is not so, at cantine Contucci you feel immediately at ease, entering the first left you are inside the actual cellars and finished the round (in a completely standalone) you are the staff that gives good Montepulciano and gives you pointers on how to match it. and in addition we met Mr Adam that you say the mascot from the cellar. Recommended!! In order to respond to those who are disappointed that they don't do taste the reserve, we must also consider, as the staff for the fact he immediately says that is ending and therefore seems more than logical to not "waste" with tastings of who goes there just to "scrounge" wine that won't buy ever:)

  • Is worth a visit not hasty, this historic cantina del "Nobile di Montepulciano", still in use for productive purposes. In various environments you can so see the casks ageing, as well as the large glass fibre concrete tanks and the bottling stage: Inevitable final tasting journey, enriched by a skilful, calm, professional yet friendly, presentation of different vintages and Crus. Some advice? Try the "Noble" selection "red stone".

  • Shortly before the Piazza Grande di Montepulciano-Siena, Palazzo Contucci, home of Pope Julius III and of Grand Duke Ferdinand I, lie the Cantine Contucci spread over three levels that host barrels, drums and stone basins to contain the famous Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, definitely a visit not to be missed.

  • I knew the cellar for fame, they also suggested and was satisfied. They made me taste different wines then I chose the nobile montepulciano red stone of 2011! It is run by a woman very prepared and kind, and an older gentleman, place icon, likeable and fun only. We were very impressed by their friendliness and of course for their wine. I recommend you try ...
