  • We started from Forca di Presta, 700 m of difference in altitude and 300 downhill to the Lake. Excursion to take it slow but doable. Windy area and without protection from the Sun. When ascending you see all over the plain of Castelluccio and the country, and in the distance, across the chain of Gran Sasso. The descent to the Lake they call the ladders is dangerous enough without signs, since the Lake is popular with the municipality of Montemonaco might waste a bit of paint! The show is impressive from above and coming soon. Is a must to do!
