  • The price is really like in the Paris Louvre, but interesting Museum and the Church too. If you are interested in the art of the middle ages, go here.

  • The leadership of Touring Umbria is unreliable: it gives only one star in this museum which is to be included among the things not to miss in a tour in Umbria. The apse frescoed by Benozzo Gozzoli in 1512 a 30-year-old with the stories of St. Francis is one of the great masterpieces of Renaissance and alone is worth the trip. The same painter the first chapel on the right with the original altarpiece painted in trompe l'oeil. Left in the niche opposite the façade a Nativity, a masterpiece by Perugino made in its full artistic maturity in 1503. Other works by Giovanni di Corraduccio 2 outstanding are frescoed chapels, the niche and the table by Tiberio d'assisi (funny the Madonna that threatens the Devil with a knotty Club to defend a child sent to hell ' from the mother) and the niche of least known Jacopo Vincioli (note the exorcism scene). Curious autograph letter of Benozzo written by the shipyard of the frescoes. I don't understand why there's a sign prohibiting photographing, allegedly exceeded in practice. About photography, this is made difficult by the lighting uneven (is the only fault I found in the Museum). It is worth to photograph the frescoes of Benozzo to be able to observe a posteriori details without straining too much neck to watch them head on.

  • Una perla di Montefalco
  • Montefalco is a great town and the Organization of the museum complex is enviable: other cities should definitely take inspiration. Beautiful places from the point of view of landscape artistic perspective.

  • Museum that has preserved the magic of the place while respecting their history. Definitely worth a visit
