  • So it happened that in Montecatini we were passing through and then at night. Find out that there is a funicular railway in the upper part of the city. Night photo failed! At the bottom of the night city. We sat in the restaurant, even though it was already 11:00 pm and drove down. In the afternoon, you can of course was there to visit the Torre dell'Orologio, Monastero Delle Benedettine s. Maria A Ripa, but so late nobody in the convent didn't allow ...

  • Montecatini Alto is a place with a special charm, especially when it's not targeted by hordes of tourists who make it seem like an anthill. Given the richness of premises and is the ideal place for a romantic dinner although this writer prefers to walk around and enjoy the breathtaking views from both sides of the country. In summer the place lends itself to find some fresh air and maybe eat something late in the day when at least groups have gone. Many souvenir shops but in this case it happens to find something special. Blessed ... approval ...

  • The hotel located in Montecatini city I got to visit the upper town which can be defined as fabulous. The only drawback to the quoted Hamlet, finding the funicular closed for maintenance, I decided to walk down the path avviami quite twisty and not maintained just fine along the funicular. After 40 minutes of fairly steep climb came in the old village and this has offset the effort made. Along the perimeter of the village there is a road that surrounds him and from which you can admire the surrounding Tuscan hills, views of which definitely worth admiring. In the village you can visit the clock tower and the ancient Church. The main square is surrounded by small shops with local handicrafts and small restaurants with Tuscan specialties. The whole thing really worth to visit.
