  • I was born in "Lu Monte" and since I was a kid I discovered and lived with passion every corner of the convent. A magical place, a temple not only of prayer but of art. Beautiful church and the works of Caravaggio in the same School and the adjacent convent. Do not miss a visit to the Church of the Madonna del Castagno in 20 mt from the convent. Unmissable

  • The weekend I went in the castelli romani area in camper. I visited Monte Compatri, where by the way I've been. The village is located on a hilltop and finding a parking is not easy thing especially during holidays. The convent of San Silvestro is located about a kilometer and a half from the village. The location is very beautiful and on a clear day you can also see Rome. The place is surrounded by greenery and tranquility. Nice, but personally I was impressed from the sanctuary of the Madonna del Castagno, a small church located in the vicinity of the convent has a very nice altar with the image of the Madonna del Castagno. To see!
