  • We climbed to the convent and had the pleasure of an unforgettable view. Excursion reservations highly recommended!

  • To access the Sanctuary you must climb to monte Argentario. Through an uphill road with many turns, but very easy to arrive to the square in front of the shrine. To the left of the square a balcony offers a beautiful view of the area. The Church is essential, but very accurate.

  • After an uphill path in green to reach the convent at 260 meters above sea level, where you can enjoy a wide view over the lagoon of Orbetello and Giannella. In front of the building there is a large yard where to Park: left entrance to the convent, on the right the Church of the presentation in the temple, not particularly interesting from an artistic point of view. The importance of the visit may instead relate to the figure of Saint Paul of the cross-the great Mystic of the 1700 founder of the passionists-this being the parent monastery built by the native of 1737 from this Holy Ovada. And in fact in the chapel right there of the church there is the portrait of the Saint and his biography; also in the crypt, which is accessed from other external port are relics such as books, cassocks, etc. belonged to St. Paul himself. This convent, despite its location may represent an extraordinary point of interest, it remains basically a place of spirituality and meditation; not a tourist attraction in the strict sense, as some previous reviewer would have hoped. A fortiori se-also in opening expected-is closed the shop that sells the famous bitter of Friars and honey.
