  • Unforgettable experience. Just behind the Monfalcone train station. The main trench Trench Joffre, which develops uphill at Mile 85 Quota. Lose yourself in the maze of trenches, perfectly preserved. Lift up your eyes and enjoy the scenery, trees and Woods. Then you can continue the path, meet another smaller trench, decide to return towards Monfalcone through a graceful Grove or to follow the path on the heights (non-binding, dirt road) up to the Fort of Monfalcone. Everything is perfectly signposted.

  • With the help of a family friend, we found the remains of what is considered the bloodiest war. For a history buff, it was interesting to walk through these remains and, in a way, to project themselves into the past ...

  • To think that in these places has fought a war so bloody that trenches still visible (and accessible) has passed away so many young lives, is creepy. Living about twenty kilometres from this place, I've been going often, especially for the natural beauty. The ride has uphill sections, but nothing particularly challenging, although comfortable shoes are a must. The trails are present various tricee and you can find some billboards reminiscent of past events. An opportunity to take a nice walk, recalling also the futility of war.

  • Place nothing short of fantastic ... not to mention a period of historical period marked by the war that will take home with us and that we will never! Full of trails with indications of strategic places to visit; where our soldiers created under the Frost shortcuts, trenches and tunnels to guard against the enemy. Historically significant place, but undervalued. You can also go for walks along major trails to find himself with nature.
