  • An opportunity to visit the castle was the exhibition "Painters between Turin and the Langhe in the time of Augusto Monti", a series of over 100 paintings from private collections, the period of 900, with a few pieces of Carey and the "group of 6" in Turin. Fact sheets for each section clearly illustrate the path of artists, placing them in their time and in relation to European artistic movements. What needs to be rewarded is the courage of these small municipalities, with few resources, notes that manage to organize artistic events to publicize their territory and, in this case, a truly magnificent Castle!

  • Came across the country during a weekend, we took advantage of the guided tour that is carried out during the summer to alternate Sundays and costs 3 euros. The castle was in the beginning a monastery and subsequently underwent amendments by subsequent owners. Today it is the seat of the municipality and was largely restored by recovering the floors and frescoes. Very nice our guide. Together you could visit an exhibition on the upper level (adding 2 euros)

  • Monastero Bormida is a small town in the Langa Astigiana, a jewel set among vineyards and hazelnut trees, worth enjoying the scenery by visiting the Castle, very well restored, the Church and the medieval bridge on the Bormida, possibilities for unforgettable walks.
