  • Today we were in Damas, for a visit to the Castle really nice. Unfortunately unlike what EC wrote on the site, visits are only in summer, or by appointment for groups. While the site CITES from Monday to Sunday including from 15 to 18 hours. Shame as wax other people who had come to visit him. Oh well we stuck to admire it from the outside. But I think it's fair to update the periods of visit and contact details for bookings and info.

  • An opportunity to visit the castle was the exhibition "Painters between Turin and the Langhe in the time of Augusto Monti", a series of over 100 paintings from private collections, the period of 900, with a few pieces of Carey and the "group of 6" in Turin. Fact sheets for each section clearly illustrate the path of artists, placing them in their time and in relation to European artistic movements. What needs to be rewarded is the courage of these small municipalities, with few resources, notes that manage to organize artistic events to publicize their territory and, in this case, a truly magnificent Castle!

  • Beautiful castle in a small medieval town. We were fortunate, even if nn was opening period, to find the Mayor, very kind person, which allowed us to visit the castle with a detailed explanation of the history and changes that the Castle has undergone. Near the castle to admire the medieval bridge over the river Bormida. Not to be missed in spring the rite of Polentona 😋
