In the way are first on a nice romantic Buchenwald and then to a small hut, the Refugio Rossi. Then continues through rock to the Pania, which offers really beautiful and wide views of the Appenuinen, provided that the weather is nice.
Si tratta della regina delle Apuane. Ci sono diversi percorsi per raggiungere la vetta. In questo caso cito quello piu` veloce e meno difficoltoso anche se richiede un buon allenamento. Consiglio di b... more »This is the Queen of Apuane. There are several routes to reach the Summit. In this case I cite that is faster and less difficult, although it requires a lot of training. Board of camp out atop the Pania summer nights and warm days. Loc. out: Piglionico Chapel (died 1130) reference and Shelter. Rossi (1609 m a.s.l.) Summit Pania della Croce (1859 m a.s.l.). We chose to bring a tent since the weather forecast gave low temperatures during the night. Between food, water, tents and clothing for the night our backpacks were enough weights. Leaving the car in the parking lot at Piglionico Chapel in the late afternoon we arrived at the top just to enjoy the sunset. Even the tract in the Valley of hell it was pleasing to see that the Sun was already low. 1000 night lights and a trillion stars were lit. As we had budgeted the tent it was a right choice. Both the aurora the dawn have been spectacular. In the early morning we disassembled the tent and embarked on the way back. We treated ourselves to a breakfast in the fig. For those who don't want to lug food and tent can stay at the shelter and pick up about an hour before sunrise.
Questo monte merita assolutamente un'escursione, per la bellezza del paesaggio e l'eccezionalità del panorama che offre, sulla versilia, le Apuane e la Garfagnana. Also the path to go up, which leaves the antro del Corchia (trail # 9) and then continues after the mouth Mosceta with trail # 126 is very nice, never rides and well marked, all turns, into the rock mixed with lawn. Feasible paths for everyone, but it takes some practice, because the difference in altitude is about 1000 metres from Levigliani (the first two kilometres of paved road to get to the Antro del Corchia is forbidden to cars, but you can use the shuttle the cave at €2, during visiting hours). There is also a stop at the Rifugio del Freo, at Foce Mosceta, in a wonderful landscape.
Stunning scenery, great for walking and climbing
Beautiful Summit, accessible by several scenic trails, see also the nearby pizzo Of lightning bolts and the Pania secca. To be reckoned with in the winter for ice formation which makes it much more challenging. To climb with full moon in summer to see the sunrise from the Summit. There are two shelters, Daniels and Smith to ristorare👍
The maximum is grabbing a backpack and a tent and sleeping near the cross all night, set the alarm and watch the Sunrise with all colors. .. You can see the Islands, if you find a nice day, and all the magnificent wonder of the coast up to the 5 terre. I think for those who love the mountains isn't thrilling ... To be redone!
I wonder: how on earth you can rate a place like that? Google should confine itself to what it deserves. About Pania there is nothing to sell and does not even appear on Google maps!
Truly deserves the title of Queen of Apuane. I went back after many years and I discovered that the Ridge trail to the Summit has been corrected and made safer. Very good. Unforgettable landscape, thanks to a clear day.
