  • If you go to Modica I recommend you to visit the home of Quasimodo. The rooms where he lived the first few months of his life are inside an ancient abode where you can enjoy a splendid panorama. Beautiful light in the late afternoon. A very nice guide accompanies you in the path and shows you with passion the memorabilia featured. Nice and exciting study where you can hear the voice of the poet reciting poems.

  • Last summer I visited the House where he was born Salvatore Quasimodo, is located in the historic district of Modica. This property had been rented by Gaetano Quasimodo (father of the poet) from 1900 until October of 1901 was the town's stationmaster. The family Quasimodo in fact came from Roccalumera (Me). The Nobel Prize-winning poet 1959 was born on August 20, 1901 within this House. Inside was rebuilt the bedroom of the spouses Quasimodo and was transferred from Milan one of two offices of the poet. Video can be viewed on the poet. You can also consult the texts Quasimodiani and listen to the poet reciting some poems. The guides are very prepared and funny. The House is managed by the Association Proserpine. The entrance fee is very cheap. The House is very close you main monuments of the baroque city.

  • This is the place where he was born and where he spent a part of his life an infinitesimal. The testimonies are minimal and does not leave exactly the sign
