  • The house is quite interesting but there is little information in English so, unless one understands Italian there is not a great deal to be learned other than to see inside one of the hillside houses...  more »
  • Situated in a narrow street of the historical centre of Modica, the birthplace of Quasimodo is a little gem that is certainly worth a visit. The House is perfectly preserved, the Guide really passionate and prepared and the icing on the cake is the possibility offered to hear the poet's poems recited directly from the Nobel Prize! From the terrace of the House you can enjoy a beautiful view over the city. Cost € 2.50

  • The Museum display of the birthplace of Salvatore Quasimodo. The ability to hear the voice of the poet who recites one of his poems is unique. Recommend this visit

  • If you go to Modica I recommend you to visit the home of Quasimodo. The rooms where he lived the first few months of his life are inside an ancient abode where you can enjoy a splendid panorama. Beautiful light in the late afternoon. A very nice guide accompanies you in the path and shows you with passion the memorabilia featured. Nice and exciting study where you can hear the voice of the poet reciting poems.

  • A place definitely worth visiting, but we should remember that the great poet was born and a few days later moved to Karachi.
