  • The "acetaia" Vila San Donnino was a recommendation of a friend from Modena. We were impressed by this place, no five kilometres away from the exit Modena South. The Villa itself is private and cannot be visited. But it's all about the balsamic of Modena is also famous for the. And here the balsamico Tradizionale is produced. Davide has tells us the steps to the balsamic Tradizionale in excellent English and based on a tasting made the differences from the normal balsamic vinegar to just this particular understandable. The differences between the normal and us in the supermarket of so balsamic vinegar to this Tradizionale - he was in fact to taste. The coronation was then: balsamic on vanilla ice cream. We were just thrilled. For bon vivants a recommendable place. Saying that is that quite a few bottles of balsamic vintages in the car took place.

  • We have appeared spontaneously without an appointment. Had to wait then an hour to the leadership, had but paid off. Friendly guide and explanation such as the balsamic vinegar is produced. Was also a small tasting. Surprisingly has us, the leadership was free, as also the expensive balsamic to test was offered.

  • An excellent little villa showing how traditional balsamic vinegar is made and how it's different to the commercial stuff. The villa has a great smell as soon as you walk in and as its a family business and not commercialised, you aren't pressurised into buying anything (but I'm sure you will once you've tried it!) The hosts were great and spoke good english and gave an hour tour with some tasting. A must if you go to Modena and want to learn about balsamic
  • Locally run down with cobwebs and cloths full of hairs from dubious origin ... Tiny portions and poorly seasoned well is filled the Bill. Embarrassing experience
