  • The Church is truly very beautiful. Since April 2019 it is part of AGO Modena (Cultural Factory), a new cultural circuit in the center of Modena that aims to enhance three treasures of the city: the Anatomical Theatre, the Historical Pharmacy and the Church of St. Augustine. AGO aims to become a reference point for cultural innovation and training. Admission to the three venues is free; There are also free guided tours.

  • Ancient church founded in 1338 but repeatedly reworked, born Gothic but today, since the end of 1600, baroque. The statues all around the great aisle are reminiscent of the characters of the house d'Este or related to it. Among the different, valuable works present I would like in particular to point out the Lament on the Dead Christ (1524-1526), terracotta by Antonio Begarelli. Definitely worth the visit.

  • We stumbled upon this wonderful church by accident, having gone the wrong way we decided to take a look, once we entered we could not believe our eyes. If it were in a better known city, it would be much more visited and known. Lucky Modena scants that you can enjoy this show.

  • Best historical things in modena, italy
  • Magnificent example of Baroque in the historic center of Modena just a short walk from the station of the Courier and the Foro Boario
  • I have been to Modena several times and had never had the opportunity to visit this wonderful church. Fleeting visit because close to closing time, but I was fascinated. I will come back to deepen in the way. Deserving the sculptural group in terracotta, in the first chapel on the left, by Antonio Begarelli. Also beautiful is the crucifix placed above the main altar and also the organ. To visit absolutely.

  • More than positive visit.... The restoration made "after the severe damage of the earthquake 2014" well explained... Even for the non-Adetti you have works.... Made with healthy criterion!!! Very satisfied!!! GOOD COMPLIMENTS 👍

  • Location suggestive, cool atmosphere and furnished in late eighteenth-century style. Very private and quiet staff so much that it is not seen. Speciality of the House: Bread and wine, served buffet. A little ' dry bread, but excellent wine and especially payment to free offer. Music Entertainment in Gregorian chant style, with ultra seventy-year-old white vocals. I loved it and will be back, 5 stars you deserve. Ps. Only negative, the chairs are a bit harsh, but there is a chance to eat on your knees, so no problem.
