  • A very austere church dating back to medieval times and gaunt but repeatedly renovated and enlarged in the 18th century. The Church is attributed to the important figure of Ludovico Muratori, great scholar, historian and ecclesiastic of the 18th century, who was entrusted with the Church and who strove for his accommodation. Inside, on the left, you can also find his tomb while left before entering the building where he lived during those years. Well worth a visit.

  • A play on words to say that we would need to completely cleaned and reset of this church on the edge of downtown, note practically only because he was parish priest, and lived in the adjacent apartments, Ludovico Antonio Muratori, great and famous historian. He paid the necessary restructuring in early 1700, you should find a sponsor today of this caliber. Worth the visit.

  • When I visited piazza della Pomposa are obviously also entered the Church of the same name, the name is derived from the Abbey of Santa Maria Pomposa in the Po Delta. Worth a visit as it is one of the oldest in Modena, plus I could admire the paintings glory of Angels with St. Louis and Santa Lucia del M and the Blessed Virgin enthroned with Saints St Sebastian, Geminiano and Rocco of Boulanger. Finally remember the sarcophagus of Lodovico Antonio Muratori. Recommended visit.
