  • 4 times ... 4 times I walked past at different times on a Sunday of March and only found it open, but it proved impossible to enter because there was a church service and the Church was filled to capacity. I think this is an interesting monument, for the interior architecture, the painting by Guercino, the tombs of the noble family of Este, certainly is a completely useless ... maybe whoever stole the Guercino just wanted to see it ... If I had courage, strength and wit I would too ... Of course mine is just a provocation dictated by disappointment tried finding myself again (but how many times has happened to me and I will happen again in Italy?!?) in the face of such a blatant manifestation of human stupidity.

  • This church definitely will now have some notoriety because, in it, two years ago was stolen at night a large canvas by Guercino. Now fortunately found in Casablanca. Hoping that the work falls short, and will be replaced in his side chapel, we also hope that this beautiful painting may not be stolen again because you forgot and unknown by everyone.

  • Beautiful 17th century Church, with a façade of 1760, centrally located next to the courthouse. From the first half of 1800 houses the tombs of the Este, hence the name "Pantheon degli Estensi". The possibilities for visiting gift unfortunately very limited, typically after Sunday's functions. The Church was sadly recently hijacking a beautiful work of Guercino. Worth a visit, having a chance.
