  • After visiting the Acetaia di Giorgio, you can't take "regular" balsamico no more, interesting to see and understand the process of balsamico controlled by Italian DOP.  more »

  • Highlight of any Italy holiday and an absolute must stop. Amazing, educating experience sampling the highest quality balsamic you can find. 150 year old lineage. Mind blown. Great English tour for us and shipping to states.
  • We were late getting there but Giovanna kept the house open for us to sample her aceto balsamico. Unbelievable. I don't think I can ever stomach the junk that passes off as balsamic vinegar in the supermarket after tasting Giovanna's. Yes it's relatively expensive but very much worth it. If Modena is anywhere near where you are in Italy, GO.
  • A must visit place for food lovers and those who appreciate tradition and culture. We were not expecting such a hospitable, down to earth and authentic experience! Marcello explained how an authentic balsamic vinegar from modena is made (has to have a "DOP" seal and aged either 13 or 25 years), was very kind and generous with the tasting, and patient in answering questions. You must call ahead to make a reservation of the tour, but they are very accomodating. The tour is free and takes around 30-40 minutes, we were a small group of 6 people but there is no minimum -- we could have been just 2 and they would have accomodated. A must go to experience when visiting Modena!
  • Good experience. Interesting guided tour. Lovely tastes. Very informative. Great hospitality.
  • Prepare to have your balsamic vinegar life changed forever. They give an excellent free tour of their family run business that is over 100 years old and then the opportunity to sample then buy their family recipes. If you have been buying bottles of industrial grade balsamic vinegar your entire life, prepare to have your mind blown. This was an excellent experience and an excellent brand.
