  • The Monte Piana revives a tragic moment of our history: life in the trenches and the vicissitudes of the soldiers of the first world war. Unfortunately to get there you have to take (at least to climb so you don't get too tired) a jeep that is quite dangerous because missing guardrails. The visit can be done with a guide: If you find yourself driving from Dobbiaco turns out to be a disaster because he doesn't know much, speaks Italian and poorly is not addictive (unfortunately one we had us), while they say if it happens that from Hong Kong, then it is very good! Educate yourself first!

  • There are no restrictions on visiting this place but it would be advisable before you climb to get some reading on what it represented in the context of World War I in the dolomite front. The place was extensively refurbished in recent years by groups of volunteers who allow us to make us an idea (but only one idea) of what was the situation of commanded troops to die for the greatness of "homeland". This substance then there are accompanying other more tiny things; the Bosi hut that must provide services, multiple paths to less exposed, grandeur of the environment. Everyone will expect more strikes but and I repeat the true heart of the place is the remembering which obscene havoc there has been perpetrated a century ago.

  • A short jeep will get you from the camp of Misurina, opposite the bus stop from Dobbiaco and Cortina, the Bosi hut. Going up then walk to the chapel dedicated to soldiers who died during the great war, you can visit the trenches and a small historical Museum. Round trip costs 12 euros per person. The Museum costs € 2 children stay free entry.
