Where to stay in Milan

For a quintessential Milanese experience, stay in the bustling heart of the old town. This area offers easy foot access to most of Milan's main sites, as well as some of the city's finest restaurants, shops, and theaters. The central area is also quite crowded, and comfortable rooms in good hotels can be very expensive. Visitors traveling on a budget can choose from a range of top-notch B&Bs and family-operated hostels, which offer private parking and access to private outdoor space, minutes from Milan's main attractions.

  • Was using this as a fill-in but wow! Glad i got there. It's a lot larger than i expected and in great condition. Free toilets in Milan! Museums were 5 euro combo ticket and again exceeded expectations. You could easily spend all day here.
  • 5 stars on a sunny day! I didn't take the tour so I can't comment on that but was there on a beautiful sunny afternoon and it's a great refuge from the rest of the city. Perfect scenery for relaxing in the grass.
  • The castle is very impressive mainly due to its huge size, worth an outdoors free visit. On my visit the Michelangelo museum was closed. There are a few other museums included in the €5 ticket, but I found them disappointing if you are not an art specialist. I found the castle indoors more interesting.
  • Beautiful castle with interesting history. Stunning building with many classic sculptures. Relaxing and enjoyable garden, but some quiet at night time.
  • Impressive castle worth seeing. It was the seat of the Dukes of Milan. There is a nice museum inside as well.
