  • If Milan can boast a couple of millennia of history, it must in some sense even at places like that. Yes, because if a city was able to defend certain jewelry for a Millennium and a half means he has an extraordinary character and a capacity to reproduce culture and identity. Visit San Lorenzo Maggiore is like taking a journey through the history of a city that has always played a strategic role in rendering accounts of which he was part, including religious one. The works of art contained in this basilica are numerous, but the most valuable from the artistic point of view is the chapel of San Lorenzo,. And it's even better visit it knowing that its origins are still cloaked in mystery.

  • Although the outside is deceiving because of its shape, the Interior is in round shape with massive columns, to see the chapel of Saint Aquilino for its mosaics, though partly rovinti

  • I visited several times the Basilica of San Lorenzo, and I am always very satisfied. Since the days of elementary school, where I visited on the tour, I always remained in my heart. Il colonnato romano is one of the most beautiful and famous monuments in Milan. The Church has a very particular history and fascinating. The entrance is free, except for its most beautiful part: the shrine of San Lorenzo,. Paying 2 €, in fact you can't not admire the splendid mosaics, frescoes, the mausoleums of the Longobards and the foundations (down an easy scale). One of the most beautiful and important churches in Milan. X all the tourists and also for the Milanese, a real gem.

  • Impressive basilica, though I expected a little more. Architecture-wise it is beautiful, but the decorations are somehow missing.
  • One of the oldest churches of Christianity. Similarity in structure and building techniques to Saint Sophia in Istanbul. Amazing Paleochristian mosaics in the chapel of Saint Aquilino.
  • Heritage architecture at its finest. I'm not a religious person, however, architecturally this is amazing, inside and out.
  • The church is calm and serene. The mosaic work exhibited is worth visiting and spending a few minutes for.
  • Beautiful.
