  • If I were a tourist, definitely I would do a tour in the Ticinese area and I would cover all the homonymous corso connecting Piazza XXIV Maggio at the Colonne di San Lorenzo. Is there any flavor of the houses of the old Milan (although today have staggering costs) and a host of alternative shops and small bars to drink and eat. For purchases is a great area for there you can find shops of all types (mainly clothing and accessories) and all very unique (well, not the usual brands that are found everywhere). It is certainly one of the most lively areas of milanese night life, with a prevalence of clubs for juniors, because here you can go cheaper aperitifs in town (in Italian is not very correct, but it's good to know that in Milan "becomes" the drink!), but the area is not foreclosed to other age groups. Frozen yoghurt, sandwich shops, small bars abound. They are not lacking landmarks, the Basilica of San Lorenzo Maggiore to Sant'eustorgio (with the beautiful Cappella Portinari), passing through the Diocesan Museum (definite that the latter never visited). The picture of the "vecchia Milano" would be perfect if passed again the trams used to be, while now they pass those super modern, which will also be comfortable, but the "rattling" than the old ones and wooden chairs are unparalleled in the memory of all the people of Milan.

  • The area; canals, bars and markets is very nice. The gate itself is not that special, but a nice monument, the old gate to the city I think.
  • Amazing market around the canal. Loved the small restaurants and had the best pasta ever. You can buy a lot of home made stuff
