  • To visit, even by those who, like me, are unfamiliar with contemporary art and some difficulties in understanding language and meaning. The brochures distributed at the entrance are a valuable tool to orient itself within forms of expression which are not easy to understand. Us, we could see the (permanent) installation of Keifer and the fountain (temporary) with ten interesting interventions ranging essentially in the mustisensorialità.

  • The Prince with in person, yes she, the Queen of the night in the magic flute, came affixed in Milan to visit the amazing view LUCIO FONTANA. SPACE ENVIRONMENTS, held at that venue ineffable which is the Bicocca Hangar. The Queen fell into a suite at the Four Seasons in via Gesù (noblesse oblige ...), but wanted to get to the Bicocca by public transport. Therefore, yellow from Montenapoleone in Zadar, then Lille from Zadar to Ponale, then short walk in viale Fulvio Testi and via churches, and here we are at the Hangar. As soon as I entered, the Prince with a smile of triumph that can not hide: here's my Kingdom, here's the darkest night of the night one night not only Visual, but architecture, tactile (ah, those black velvet draperies taller than 10 meters!), here's the place right to get lost and lose, crossing the spaces made tricky by darkness, approaching the works admirably rebuilt and scattered in the immensity of the hangar, to those space environments designed by the great Lucio Fontana to public and private occasions, and then all or nearly destroyed. The spatial illusion, deceit seem to prevail at the beginning with basins and misleading lights environments, floors that rise and fall and on which it slips, narrow corridors where you have to get on all fours, hard or soft floors and walls environments Conversely, requiring the use of shoe covers and which are highly recommended for those who suffer from claustrophobia. Above and around these spaces, it interweaves the polyphony mirabile of lights, misleading, distorted perspectives, polymorphous, protean, which draw ambiguous paths where the mind seems to get lost, ambivalent geometries where it is difficult to locate the vanishing point, colored lights that wrap, induce reverie, demonstrating that the mind can all, if properly stimulated by a great artist. The Queen is in seventh heaven, everything seems to be on his side, but his joy fades as we proceed towards the back of the hangar and shows: here the lights are getting brighter, then even a dazzling white, traversed by one of the famous " vertical cuts leading somewhere, and eventually explodes into a riot of blue and green in the reconstruction of the ceiling done in Turin to Italy ' 61. Here the Queen hangs, and would like to rant, but fails: Sarastro won again, "the Sun's rays scatter the night". We, being commoners, we thank the Bicocca Hangar for letting us participate in this triumph.

  • The first contemporary art spaces in Milan and then in Italy: the permanent installation by Kiefer, lately enriched with remarkable paintings, visually striking and full of charm. Very interesting temporary exhibitions, excellent services, very impressive.

  • Great place in a post-industrial building. Good for art, design and good food. They have a permanent exhibition and temporary ones, generally very good. The shop is small but with a nice selection of books and design items. The entrance is free.
  • One of my favourite art galleries! Lots of interesting art work that was really well curated. The space is also very amazing and monumental allowing various types of art to exist! It’s a little out of the way but highly recommend
  • Far from the center but with very good accessibility by public transport. Many different ideas big comfortable space.with a nice restaurant. Definitely a place to visit many times.
  • Impressing large spaces from a former industrial building, stunning exhibition of Fontana pieces hanging from the ceiling (intricate neon composition), and the last room with the giant "seven celestial towers" by kiefer, which are also quite a remarkable engineering feature. There is also a nice bar inside where you can have tasty "aperitivo" (good cocktails but also good wine selection)
  • Beautiful place, I love the environment the expositions, the people who always go there, the cafeteria service it’s ok but always full, I really enjoy the expositions, good plan for Sunday’s
