Landmark Tourist Spot
Piazza Cordusio is a square in central Milan, Italy. The piazza takes its name from the Cors Ducis which was found in the square during Longobard times. It is well known for its several turn-of-the-19th-century Neoclassical, eclectic and Art Nouveau buildings, banks and post offices. Even though many of these have now relocated elsewhere, it is still an important commercial square in the city and hosts the Palazzo delle Assicurazioni Generali, the Palazzo del Credito Italiano and the Palazzo delle Poste, former Borsa di Milano . Piazzale Cordusio hosts the Cordusio metro station and is the starting point of the elegant pedestrian Via Dante which leads to the imposing medieval Castello Sforzesco, or Milan Castle. Opposite to Via Dante, Cordusio borders onto Piazza Mercanti, former city centre in the Middle Ages, which leads directly to Piazza del Duomo, today's city centre.PalacesPalazzo delle Assicurazioni GeneraliThis palace is the main one in the square, and was built by architect Luca Beltrami from 1897 to 1901. It is the main headquarter of the mega-finance corporation Assicurazioni Generali. It has a small tower with a dome.Palazzo del Credito ItalianoThe palace of the Credito Italiano, which is a semi-circular eclectic building, designed by Luigi Broggi.

Where to stay in Milan

For a quintessential Milanese experience, stay in the bustling heart of the old town. This area offers easy foot access to most of Milan's main sites, as well as some of the city's finest restaurants, shops, and theaters. The central area is also quite crowded, and comfortable rooms in good hotels can be very expensive. Visitors traveling on a budget can choose from a range of top-notch B&Bs and family-operated hostels, which offer private parking and access to private outdoor space, minutes from Milan's main attractions.

  • I bought a sim card from this branch, the guy was so nice and kind with me, they told me the sim card needs 1 hours to be activated, I waited more than 3 hours and still not activated yet so I went to them again but unfortunately they were about to close and they refused me and refused to listen to me and they were so angry about me cause I was asking them to listen to me and to give me just a second to explain the problem I have.. no body cares at all and they were pointing by hand " go out ". I feel bad really and lost, I tried to call the hotline but I couldn't.. Zero for them really.
