  • The Church of s. Maria Bianca Della Misericordia, known by everyone as '' Casoretto '' in the 15th century Abbey was the site of the Congregation of the canons regular of the Lateran. The construction of this Basilica began in 1470, remodeled in time, in the Baroque period by Ambrose Annoni. On the right side, there remains a small bell that keeps the original forms of 1490. Its interior, noteworthy a fresco, of the Lombard school, representing the '' Santa Maria Bianca Della Misericordia "in white dress, trimmed with gold. Beautiful cloister, with a portico surmounted by loggias and mullioned Windows.

  • Choosing the color of the robe of the Virgin white seems linked to in the fresco that portrays her inside. The brick façade is preceded by a paving stone in a cobblestone courtyard, depicting the windrose. To its left is the cloister while on the right, slightly back, the Bell Tower is visible. The Church is currently two aisles. On the left side of the transept there is a fresco depicting the Virgin Bianca della Misericordia di Casoretto, attributed to a young Pisanello. In the second arc to the right is a triptych attributed to Bergognone (including his pupil Bevilacqua), depicting the resurrection of Christ, between John the Baptist and John the Evangelist.

  • Yes ... because in a journey of 600 years that representing the beauty is just the Abbey. The Romanesque style but modernised keeps the characteristics at the origin of its construction. The Interior of the Church has three naves. The Church was popular during his time by the Archbishop of Milan Carlo Borromeo.

  • Very beautiful and interesting Romanesque church/lombardo of 1400. I was lucky enough to visit it, Tuesday morning, all lit up while the keeper he polished the floor! Made up of three naves, contains valuable works of various artists, protected by alarm systems, including Pisanello and Bergognone. To visit!
