  • The Parco delle cave was born after the war, following the excavation of construction material, such as sand and gravel, used for reconstruction of Milan. It is now a nature reserve and a wetland reserve and greenery where to find some cool in hot weather.

  • A place where time seems to not scroll ever ... great for catching some Sun in the warm season, or spring afternoons ... walk run in short everything that makes you feel good about yourself and with nature ...

  • probably the best Park in Milan, well groomed and with plenty of space for a bicycle ride or a walk. The only drawback in summer becomes, at 19, a feast for mosquitoes

  • Amazing place where spend your time reading a book, enjoy nature or just go for a quiet walk surrounded by the green.
  • I have been there twice, once about 11 months ago, I entered the side where there is the farm: we parked, we watched the animals (many horses, chickens, etc). It was very hot and we found hidden seeds a small relaxation area to stay in the shade and drink coffee. Once you have visited the farm we stayed around the Park: a huge field of camomile. Many paths and many sessions. I mean I liked it and it is in the center of Milan. A few days ago I tried searching again the entry (the Navigator makes me crazy with this park) but nothing: I honestly think that the entry-farm was closed. ERGO we (sadly) changed the Park. Truly recommended!

  • Great place to walk with the dogs. There are streams very useful to dampen our fuzzy friends. Many shaded areas with many trees. The dog area is not trusted because the fence is not healthy.

  • Very quiet park at any time of the day or night. It is a pleasure to see him. Very nice flora and fauna. An oasis of tranquility and nature (even a little wild in Milan)

  • Green area on the southern outskirts of Milan, one of the entrances is located at the end of Via armed forces; There are numerous ponds and various channels where you can go fishing. Ideal for walking in various forests of tall trees and shrubs, to practice sport there are 2 trails a from 5 km by 3 km, or an easy bike ride.

Where to stay in Milan

For a quintessential Milanese experience, stay in the bustling heart of the old town. This area offers easy foot access to most of Milan's main sites, as well as some of the city's finest restaurants, shops, and theaters. The central area is also quite crowded, and comfortable rooms in good hotels can be very expensive. Visitors traveling on a budget can choose from a range of top-notch B&Bs and family-operated hostels, which offer private parking and access to private outdoor space, minutes from Milan's main attractions.
