3.9/5 based on 950+ reviews on the web
Just to the left of the Milan Cathedral, La Rinascente has been a favorite of Italian shoppers since 1887. It's the oldest department store in Italy, thriving until the World War I's resulting destruction and poverty and almost drove it out of business. Poet Gabriele d'Annunzio rescued it by rebranding it La Rinascente (the reborn), to symbolize the rebirth of Italy and the store. The name took on literal significance when a short circuit burned the building down on Christmas night 1918, only for it to be rebuilt. Now, you can explore six floors of brand-name fashion topped by a gourmet market and rooftop cafe with views of the cathedral. • Lovely department store - similar to Selfridge's or Harvey Nic's. I wasn't too fussed about the shopping and brands, however the top floor is certainly worth visiting for the rooftop restaurants, terr...  read more »
  • Love La Rinascente, on top of the excellent Riverview Restaurant, with champagne and oysters, very convenient to do shopping as many brands assembled in one place.

  • Recommend me this place for lunch and you have a view of the Duomo. It was so! The only issue is that waiting table or share some. We were lucky and got one for two. It eats rich. The place is super crowded by sight. Within the shopping, there are a variety of brands of clothing and shoes. Ah! A very special chocolate... Chocolates shaped shoes.

  • Milan's version of London's Selfridge's with an amazing roof terrace overlooking the Duomo. A must on a hot summer day for a glass of Prosecco.
  • Good place to shop for tourists (only). But the best place to have a coffee on rhe roof top with view on the duomo
  • I often go to the top floor terrance bar at Rinascente Milano , i was disgusted to find that when ordering a drink that the prices are total different to the ones on the drinks price list . They have 3 price list , when your there at 3 pm , for a simple corona that is in there price list at 6 euro . If you dont eat and you just have a drink it automatically 9 euro , they have no cover charge just 3 price lists . How can this be legal , to have three price list in the afternoon . i will never visit this place again for a drink and i would say i spend about 2000 euro a year in this bar . but now i am discussed how they treated me and how they ripped me off .
  • Impressive high end department store. Modern supermarket, restaurants and outdoor patio on the top floor.
  • This is one massive department store by Italian standard, larger than there one in Rome. Very comprehensive selection of upscale and luxury goods with a restaurants-cum-fine foods market floor on the 7th floor. Unfortunately we are not minted so we did more window shopping than actual shopping.
