  • It's been some time since last visit but the memory of cold and snow are then etched in my mind. Today I took some pictures of the great fountain on a sunny day and I could better appreciate the beauty and elegance. • It is not a modern innovation, old photos already attest to the presence of the fountain ... But it is entirely out of context, overlaid on the Filaret access; When then is now activated, covers almost the entire height. Aesthetically horrible, I would have avoided place it back: it's not restoration!

  • Leaving the Museum of art and science that's just appear this fountain, built in 1936 of the electricity management company then AEM, on the occasion of the visit of Mussolini, who met with veterans of the war in Abyssinia. Was so successful that it became final in 1939, provisional. Fountain illuminated at night during the war was darkened and was dismantled in 1959, during the construction of the subway, after having long been a symbolic element of the city. Locked in a warehouse for decades on project of the city of Milan was revived in 1999 and was made from the new fountain in the image of the previous one. Has a diameter of approximately 40 meters and for its shape vaguely resembling a wedding cake was dubbed the "turta of spus" grooms cake. Obviously for those who went to the Castle, it's impossible not to see it!
